How I solve design problems
I employ a comprehensive, user-centered strategy to create intuitive yet impactful digital experiences that reconcile both business goals and user needs. Lastly my approach involves close synergies with stakeholders, developers, and product managers to deliver solutions that are collaborative and meaningful.
Strategy
Each project is unique and requires know how of when to apply specific methodologies. Equally important is being able to prioritize features and determine the road map of a product in order to be successful.
Research
An integral part of user-centered design is understanding our users. Only by conducting research can we truly empathize with their goals and frustrations thus creating solutions that resonate with our users.
Content
Well-structured content draws users in but it is also imperative that it keeps them engaged. Information hierarchy, relevance, and scannability impacts how users interacts and connects with a site or app.
Interactions
Users have certain expectations with their online and mobile app experiences, ensuring that interactions are meeting a user's mental model is essential to a user-friendly design.
Visual Design
Each product requires visual design to breathe life into well thought out interactions and flows to create an experience that is memorable but also encourages users to return.
How I drive innovation
I drive innovation leveraging foresight frameworks to allow our team to be proactive rather than reactive to market changes. Additionally I use either design or systems thinking processes to help our team generate and vet ideas.
Foresight
Foresight plays a pivotal role in innovation by anticipating future trends, reviewing technological advancements, and developing a proactive approach to an ever-changing digital landscape.
Design Thinking
Solving current design problems or trying to innovate and push the boundaries on concepts requires its own process. Design thinking removes barriers and allows you create without inhibitions.
